March 2020

Sharing the message of Jesus' love city by city, town by town, village by village, home by home and person by person.

Hi Everyone,

We all need connection! As ‘social isolation’ builds, let’s see this as an opportunity to bless our community, our streets and our neighbours.

‘Build up hope so you’ll be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind. I know you’re already doing this; just keep on doing it.’ – 1 Thessalonians 5:11 (MSG).

Pray that God gives us many opportunities in this year to point people to Jesus. If you can’t get out to pray with friends, join our Prayer 2020 Facebook-Live prayer group at 20:20 (8.20pm) on Friday 20 March for 20 minutes - www.facebook.com/hopetogether

National Day of Prayer and Action
The leaders of Churches Together in England are calling for a National Day of Prayer and Action this coming Mothering Sunday (March 22).

‘Light a candle at 7pm and put it in your window; ring someone who is isolated and vulnerable; buy an extra item and place it in your local food bank; keep your night shelters open.'

Ideas of help and encouragement:

  • Prayer walk your street (sign up your street here)
  • Deliver Hope for All magazines to your neighbours with a Help and Hope card.
  • Write an encouraging letter or card for a neighbour.
  • Send an encouraging text to a neighbour or friend.
  • Share a Bible verse on social media that will help build others up.
  • Offer to pick up essentials for your neighbour.
  • Video call a friend.
  • Drop a game or colouring book off to friends with children.
  • Give a supermarket gift card to someone who may be struggling

We pray that God would give us creative wisdom in reaching out to our neighbours at this time. Please do let us know if we can be of any help or serve you as things change!

With love from the Hope for Every Home team.
